Aber Instruments will once again be present at the World Brewing Congress in San Diego, July 2004. A poster on the potential applications of using on-line "Scanning Radio-Frequency Impedance" in breweries will highlight how additional information on the state of the yeast cell can be obtained with this method.
Traditional RF Impedance using a fixed frequency has been adopted as the global standard for yeast pitching rate control in many of the large breweries and the poster shows the future potential for rapid RF impedance frequency scanning being used to determine cell viability or size.
Aber Instruments regularly contributes towards the international and national brewing and industrial microbiology meetings and these also include the IOB (Institute of Brewing), EBC (European Brewing Convention) and SIM (Society for Industrial Microbiology).
