The Aber
Live Yeast Analyser 910 is a unique instrument for off-line measurement of live yeast. It uses the same principle of radio frequency capacitance that has become the standard measurement for on-line yeast pitching in breweries throughout the world.
Used as a laboratory instrument, the 910 allows the viable yeast concentrations to be measured by process operators within seconds with high precision and repeatability. It can free up time by eliminating time consuming dilution, manual counting under the microscope and the addition of dyes.
The latest Lab Yeast Analyser incorporates state of the art Aber capacitance technology introduced in 2002 for monitoring a range of cell types, often at relatively low biomass concentrations, in biopharmaceutical production fermenters. This includes a full colour screen and a polarisation correction system that returns the measurement electrodes to the same condition between samples allowing more consistent and accurate results at lower cell concentrations.
