The instruments have been routinely used to measure the viable biomass in bacterial fermentaions for determining:
• the various stages in growth in the culture
• the formation of protein inclusion bodies
• re-growth of products of cell lysis
• the optimum time to harvest vaccine fermentation’s when there is a peak of viable biomass.
